IRS Construction were appointed to this contract for the fabric upgrade to 140 City of Edinburgh council / Private Properties, this is part of the City of Edinburgh councils 3 year mixed tenure improvement service (MTIS) pilot.
Fabric upgrades comprised of the following:

Pre / post Energy performance assessments

Installation of 130mm Mineral wool class ‘A1’ External Wall Insulation.

Installation of new Brise Soliel feature coloured cladding panels to drying screen areas.

Engineered Installation of Roofline extensions with upgraded ventilation and critical cold bridge detailing.

Removal of old and installation of Marley roof system including new rafter extensions.

Installation of new Window system

Upgraded Mechanical Ventilation strategy.

Installation of New secure entry fire Doors.

Upgraded top up loft insulation.

Installation of new underfloor insulation.

Upgraded fire coating decoration works.

Upgrade and reroute of rainwater disposal systems.
Due to the success of this project, it will now be rolled out across the city of Edinburgh to help accelerate energy efficiency fabric maintenance and repairs in mixed tenure blocks. As part of our commitment to Social Value, IRS Construction had the opportunity to refurbish two local playgrounds through this contract which will benefit the community for many years to come.
